RESOLUTION APPROVING THE MINOR SITE PLAN AMENDMENT FOR
PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED SOUTH OF NEWELL STREET AND
WEST OF NORTH ELK RUN ROAD FOR IBP PORK PLANT.
WHEREAS, IBP Pork Plant has proposed that the Council of the
City of Waterloo, Iowa, approve a minor site plan amendment to
relocate the truck trailer parking area so that the trailers will
be along the C. & N.W. Railroad right-of-way and also a future
plant expansion area to the north of the originally approved
building site and a pond area along North Elk Run Road near the
proposed plant entrance, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was waived by the City Council due
to the insignificance of the nature of said mentioned minor site
plan amendment, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said site
plan should be approved as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the minor site plan amendment for IBP
Pork Plant to relocate the truck trailer parking area so that the
trailers will be along the C. & N.W. Railroad right-of-way and
also a future plant expansion area to the north of the originally
approved building site and a pond area along North Elk Run Road
near the proposed plant entrance, be and the same is hereby
approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of June, 1988 .
