HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-337-06.20.1988 RESOLUTION NO. 1988-337 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN ACQUISITION, PERMANENT AND TEMPORARY EASEMENT CONTRACTS TO SELL REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY AND ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN DEEDS AND EASEMENTS. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has had all the parcels described herein appraised and the fair market value ascertained, and WHEREAS, the acquisition of the hereinafter described parcels is necessary to carry out the FY 1988 Vincent and Longview Culvert Replacements, Contract No. 326 , NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the contract for the parcels hereinafter described to sell the same to the City of Waterloo, Iowa, all of which are situated in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, are accepted and approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the same in behalf of the City and to execute all instruments necessary to consummate the agreement to purchase the properties from the owners thereof, and the deeds for the conveyance of the same are also accepted and approved and the City of Waterloo is directed to pay for the properties and the incidental expenses necessary to the consummation of the sales from City funds. The subject parcels are: Parcel No. 5 - Temporary Easement Jack and Carol White, Owners Beginning at a point one hundred and sixty ( 160 ) feet northerly from southeast corner Lot 25 , Midway Addition Castle Hill; thence south along easterly line of said Lot seventy-two ( 72) feet; thence west perpendicular to Longview Drive seven ( 7) feet; thence northerly sixty-two ( 62 ) feet; thence westerly sixty-three ( 63 ) feet; thence northerly ten ( 10 ) feet; thence easterly to the point of beginning, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa. Parcel No. 7-Permanent Easement Black Hawk County, Iowa, Owner Starting at the northeasterly corner of Lot 25 , Midway Addition Castle Hill; thence south thirty-six ( 36 ) feet to point of beginning; thence continue south fifty-nine and one-half ( 59. 5 ) feet; thence west perpendicular to Longview Drive seventy ( 70 ) feet; thence north fifty-nine and one-half ( 59 . 5 ) feet; thence east seventy ( 70 ) feet to point of beginning, except the west fifty-five ( 55 ) feet in even width, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa. Parcel No. 7-Temporary Easement Black Hawk County, Iowa, Owner Beginning at the Northeasterly corner of Lot 25 , Midway Addition Castle Hill; thence south along the easterly line of said Lot thirty-six ( 36 ) feet; thence westerly seven (7) feet; thence northerly thirty-six ( 36) feet to north line of Lot; thence easterly along north line of Lot 25 seven (7) feet to the point of beginning, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa; and Starting at the northeasterly corner of Lot 25, Midway Addition Castle Hill; thence south thirty-six ( 36) feet to point of beginning; thence continue south fifty-nine and BOOK 281 PAGE Resolution No. 1988-337 Page 2 one-half ( 59 . 5 ) feet; thence west perpendicular to Longview Drive seventy ( 70) feet; thence north fifty-nine and one-half ( 59. 5 ) feet; thence east seventy ( 70) feet to point of beginning, except the east fifteen ( 15 ) feet in even width, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
