RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF
CERTAIN EXCESS REAL PROPERTY TO NORTHLAND PRODUCTS CO. ,
INC. FOR $159. 50 , PLUS COSTS AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND DEPUTY CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER A DEED FOR
SAME.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is the owner of real
property in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, as described below, and
WHEREAS, an offer to purchase said certain parcel of real
property in the sum of $159 . 50, plus costs, has been made by
Northland Products Co. , Inc. , and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on August 22 , 1988 , at
7 : 00 P.M. in the Council Chambers in City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, as
provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on
the proposal to sell and convey premises owned by the City of
Waterloo, Iowa to Northland Products Co. , Inc. , Waterloo, Iowa,
and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that sale and
conveyance should be made as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS FOLLOWS:
1 . The following described real property, as fully
described in the published notice in the Waterloo Courier on
August 16 , 1988 , is not presently needed and will not be needed in
the foreseeable future for municipal purposes and its ownership is
serving no municipal purpose, and
2. That the offer of Northland Products Co. , Inc. to
purchase real property for the sum of $159 . 50 and costs be, and it
is hereby accepted for real property described below:
Those parts of Lots Two ( 2 ) and Three ( 3 ) in Sherwood Park, a
subdivision in Sections Sixteen ( 16) and Twenty-one ( 21 ) ,
Township Eighty-nine North (T89N) , Range Thirteen West
(R13W) , in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa,
described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of Lot Two ( 2) ; thence
N52°22 ' S0"W along the Northeasterly line of Lot Two ( 2) ,
Seventy ( 70 ) feet; thence S37°37 ' 10"W Sixty ( 60) feet; thence
S65°28 ' 50"W Eighty ( 80 ) feet to the point of beginning;
thence continuing S65°28 ' S0"W One Hundred Sixty-three and
Eighty-six Hundredths ( 163 . 86 ) feet to a point on the
Southwesterly line of Lot Three ( 3 ) , said point being Seventy
(70) feet Northwesterly of the Southeasterly corner of Lot
Three ( 3 ) ; thence N41°05 ' S0"E Forty-seven and Two Tenths
( 47 . 2 ) feet; thence N74°38 ' 20"E One Hundred Twenty-two and
Forty-two Hundredths ( 122 . 42) feet to the point of beginning.
3 . That the City of Waterloo, Iowa, convey said parcel of
real property to Northland Products Co. , Inc. by Quit Claim Deed.
4. That the Mayor and Deputy City Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute and deliver deed to Northland Products Co. ,
Inc.
5 . That the original of said deed fully executed and
acknowledged is hereby approved and confirmed by the Council.

6. That the Deputy City Clerk is authorized and directed to
deliver said deed of conveyance to Northland Products Co. , Inc.
upon receipt of the sum of $159 . 50 , and costs.
