HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-542-09.19.1988 RESOLUTION NO. 1988-542 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN ACQUISITION, PERMANENT AND TEMPORARY EASEMENT CONTRACTS TO SELL REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY AND ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN DEEDS AND EASEMENTS. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has had all the parcels described herein appraised and the fair market value ascertained, and WHEREAS, the acquisition of the hereinafter described parcels is necessary to carry out the Ansborough Avenue Reconstruction Project, IX-6615( 5) --79-07 , in connection with the Interstate Substitution Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the contract for the parcels hereinafter described to sell the same to the City of Waterloo, Iowa, all of which are situated in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, are accepted and approved and the Mayor and Deputy City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the same in behalf of the City and to execute all instruments necessary to consummate the agreement to purchase the properties from the owners thereof , and the deeds for the conveyance of the same are also accepted and approved and the City of Waterloo is directed to pay for the properties and the incidental expenses necessary to the consummation of the sales from City Funds. The subject parcels are: Parcel No. 19--Partial Acquisition Douglas and Charlene Melcher, Owners The West 22 feet of Lot Nos. Twelve ( 12 ) , Thirteen ( 13 ) , and Fourteen ( 14 ) in Block No. Eight ( 8 ) in Hagerman Place in the City of Waterloo, Iowa. Parcel No. 20--Partial Acquisition Jeanette F. Riebe, Owner The East 7 feet of Lot No. Twelve ( 12) in Block No. One ( 1) in Downing Place in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
