HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-591-10.17.1988 RESOLUTION NO. 1988-591 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN ACQUISITION, PERMANENT AND TEMPORARY EASEMENT CONTRACTS TO SELL REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY AND ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN DEEDS AND EASEMENTS. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has had the parcels described herein appraised and the fair market value ascertained, and WHEREAS, the acquisition of the hereinafter described parcels are necessary to carry out the Sixth Street Extension Project, IX-6604 ( 2 ) --79-07 , in connection with the Interstate Substitution Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the contract for the parcels hereinafter described to sell the same to the City of Waterloo, Iowa, all of which are situated in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, as accepted and approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the same in behalf of the City and to execute all instruments necessary to consummate the agreement to purchase the properties from the owners thereof , and the deeds for the conveyance of the same are also accepted and approved and the City of Waterloo is directed to pay for the properties and the incidental expenses necessary to the consummation of the sales from City funds. The subject parcels are: Parcel No. 230 - Total Acquisition Bardene Chestnut, Owner Lot 9 , Leepers Subdivision, Parts of M, C & A of Cooley' s Subdivision, in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa. Parcel No. 727 - Total Acquisition Virginia Snodgrass, Owner Aud Rainbows Plat of Cooleys Subdiv Wloo Part of Lots 19 and 20 com at Sly cor Lot 19 th NEly on SE line of Lots 19 and 20 a dist of 74 . 6 ft th NWly to pt in NWly line Lot 19 that is 10 ft SW of Nly cor Lot 19 th SWly to Wly cor th SEly to pt of beg. Parcel No. 803 - Total Acquisition National Bank of Waterloo, Trustee for Lyle B.
