RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN ACQUISITION
CONTRACTS TO SELL REAL PROPERTY TO THE IOWA DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORTATION.
WHEREAS, National Cattle Congress has had all the parcels
described herein appraised and the fair market value ascertained,
and
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is a tenant of McElroy
Auditorium, and,
WHEREAS, the acquisition of the hereinafter described parcels
is necessary to carry out the Relocated 218 Project,
IX-218-7 ( 59) --3P-07 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the contract for the parcels
hereinafter described to sell the same to the Iowa Department of
Transportation, all of which are situated in the City of Waterloo,
Black Hawk County, Iowa, are accepted and approved and the Mayor
and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute all
instruments necessary to consummate the agreement to sell the
properties to the Iowa Department of Transportation thereof, and
the deeds for the conveyance of the same are also approved.
The subject parcels are:
Tract A: (Plat 1 of 6 ) . All of Lots 26 through 48 and Lot
53 . Part of Lot 25 ; Lots 3 through 17 ; Lots 49 through 52 ;
vacated Congress Court and vacated Sherwood Drive, California
Subdivision Section "A" all in Section 21 , Township 89 , Range
13 , containing 5 . 48 acres , more or less .
Tract B: (Plat 2 of 6 ) . Part of Lots 57 and 58 , California
Subdivision Section "A" all in Section 21 , Township 89 , Range
13 , containing 0. 05 acres , more or less .
Tract C: (Plat 2 of 6 ) . All of Lots 60 through 71 ; Part of
Lot 68 and vacated Ansborough Avenue, California Subdivision
Section "A" ; Section 21 ; Part of NW-NW 1/4 , Section 22 ,
Township 89 , Range 13 , containing 1. 27 acres, more or less.
Tract D: (Plat 3 of 6 ) . Part of Lot 2 , Congress Addition,
City of Waterloo, containing 5 . 40 acres , more or less.
Tract E: (Plat 4 of 6 ) . Part of Lot 9 , Congress Addition,
City of Waterloo, and part of SW-NW 1/4 in Section 22 ,
Township 89 , Range 13 , containing 0 . 90 acres, more or less .
Tract F: (Plat 4 of 6 ) . Part of SW-NW 1/4 in Section 22 ,
