RESOLUTION NO. 2024-649 A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING APPROVAL OF PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., AND AUTHORIZING TO PROCEEDIN CONJUNCTION WITH THE DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE SERVICES PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. D-2024-10-06P. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has prepared plans, specifications, and a form of contract for the Demolition and Site Clearance Services, which are necessary for certain municipal projects as specified in Contract No. D-2024-10-06P for properties located at 708 W. 3rd Street, 324-326 W. 7th Street, 617 W. 1st Street, and 200 E. Mullan Avenue (City -owned properties), and also 100 Commercial Street, and 128 Sycamore Street (Waterloo Development Corp. owned properties); and WHEREAS, the city council has duly reviewed and considered said plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimated costs in accordance with applicable laws and regulations; and WHEREAS, a public hearing regarding the said plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimated cost was held on November 4, 2024 as required by law; and WHEREAS, following the public hearing, no valid objections were made and filed pertaining to the proposal of said Demolition and Site Clearance Services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as follows: 1. The plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimated cost for Demolition and Site Clearance Services under Contract No. D-2024-10-06P for properties located at 708 W. 3rd Street, 324-326 W. 7th Street, 617 W. 1st Street, and 200 E. Mullan Avenue (City -owned properties), and also 100 Commercial Street, and 128 Sycamore Street (Waterloo Development Corp. owned properties), are hereby approved. 2. The City is hereby authorized to proceed with the Demolition and Site Clearance Services, and the Mayor and City Clerk are directed to take the necessary actions to facilitate the process, including issuing necessary notices and advertisements for bids in accordance with city procurement policies. 3.
