RESOLUTION NO. 2024-653 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROPERTY USE AGREEMENT WITH IOWA NORTHLAND REGIONAL COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS, TO PARK TRANSIT VEHICLES ON CITY -OWNED PROPERTY NEAR 1325 BLACK HAWK STREET, EXPIRING DECEMBER 31, 2026, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo owns property near 1325 Black Hawk Street that is suitable for parking transit vehicles; and WHEREAS, the Iowa Northland Regional Council of Governments (INRCOG) has requested a Property Use Agreement to utilize this site for the parking of transit vehicles to support its public transportation initiatives; and WHEREAS, both parties desire to formalize the terms of this arrangement through a Property Use Agreement set to expire on December 31, 2026; and WHEREAS, it is in the mutual interest of the City and INRCOG to support transit operations in Waterloo, enhancing public transit infrastructure and efficiency. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as follows: 1. The Property Use Agreement with Iowa Northland Regional Council of Governments for the purpose of parking transit vehicles on city -owned property near 1325 Black Hawk Street is hereby approved, subject to terms and conditions contained therein. 2. This Agreement shall expire on December 31, 2026, with options for renewal subject to mutual agreement and further approval by the City Council as necessary. 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Property Use Agreement on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa. 4.
