RESOLUTION NO. 2024-658
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH AECOM TECHNICAL SERVICES, INC.,
IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $667,900.00, TO
COMPLETE ENGINEERING AND SURVEY WORK
RELATED TO THE UNIVERSITY AVENUE AREA TIF
DISTRICT PROJECTS, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo is undertaking projects within the University Avenue
Area Tax Increment Financing (TIF) District to enhance infrastructure and promote economic
development; and
WHEREAS, there is a need for professional engineering and survey services to support
the planning and implementation of these projects to ensure they meet the desired specifications
and objectives; and
WHEREAS, AECOM Technical Services, Inc., possesses the requisite expertise and
experience to provide comprehensive engineering and survey services, facilitating the successful
advancement of the University's Avenue Area TIF District efforts; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Professional Services Agreement outlines a scope of work at a
cost not to exceed $667,900.00, which is deemed to be a reasonable and necessary investment for
the services provided.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The Professional Services Agreement with AECOM Technical Services, Inc. for
engineering and survey work related to the University Avenue Area TIF District projects is
hereby approved, subject to the terms outlined in said Agreement.
2. AECOM will deliver the specified engineering and survey services as stipulated,
contributing to the defined projects within the budget cap of $667,900.00.
3. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute the Professional Services Agreement,
on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
4. This resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
