RESOLUTION NO. 2024-660
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROPERTY LEASE
AGREEMENT FOR UNDERBRIDGE ACCESS TRUCK WITH
THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo recognizes the need for efficient and safe inspection
and maintenance of the bridges within the city limits; and
WHEREAS, the Iowa Department of Transportation has made available an Underbridge
Access Truck, which will facilitate such inspections and maintenance; and
WHEREAS, the City has negotiated a Property Lease Agreement with an estimated cost
of $4,872.48, which has been reviewed and deemed advantageous and fiscally prudent; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the terms of the proposed lease agreement
and finds them acceptable and beneficial to the City; and
WHEREAS, entering into this lease agreement aligns with the City's commitment to
infrastructure safety and proactive maintenance strategies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The City Council hereby approves the Property Lease Agreement with the Iowa
Department of Transportation for the leasing of an Underbridge Access Truck at an estimated
cost of $4,872.48.
2. Funds shall be allocated from the appropriate fiscal budget to cover the lease costs
associated with this agreement.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the Property Lease
Agreement, on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
4. This resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
