RESOLUTION NO. 2024-661
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN ONGOING LEASE
AGREEMENT WITH C&S CAR COMPANY FOR A 2025
HYUNDAI SANTA FE, VIN # 5NMP3DGL5SH069038, TO BE
USED BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AT NO COST TO
THE CITY, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo Police Department requires vehicles for efficient and
effective law enforcement operations; and
WHEREAS, C&S Car Company has offered a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe, VIN #
5NMP3DGL5SH069038, for police use under an ongoing lease agreement at no cost to the City;
and
WHEREAS, the terms of this lease agreement have been reviewed and are deemed
beneficial to the City, providing necessary resources without financial expenditure; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the terms of the proposed lease agreement
and finds them acceptable and beneficial to the City; and
WHEREAS, the addition of this vehicle supports the Police Department's operational
capabilities and community safety goals.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The City Council approves the ongoing Lease Agreement with C&S Car Company for
the use of the specified 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe by the Police Department.
2. It is acknowledged that this agreement incurs no cost to the city while enhancing the
capabilities of the city's law enforcement personnel.
3. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Lease Agreement with
C&S Car Company on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
4. This resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
