RESOLUTION NO. 2024-639 A RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING THE DATE OF BID OPENING AS NOVEMBER 21, 2024, AND THE DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS DECEMBER 2, 2024, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2025 W.A.R.P. 4TH ADDITION PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. 1114, AND INSTRUCT CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH SAID NOTICE. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has developed preliminary plans, specifications, and a form of contract for the FY 2025 W.A.R.P. 4th Addition Project, Contract No. 1114, a public improvement project integral to the city's strategic infrastructure plan; and WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is proceeding with the FY 2025 W.A.R.P. 4th Addition Project, Contract No. 1114; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish formal dates for both the bid opening and the public hearing to ensure compliance with legal and procedural requirements and to facilitate transparency and competitive bidding. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as follows: 1. The preliminary plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate of cost for the FY 2025 W.A.R.P. 4th Addition Project, Contract No. 1114, are hereby approved. 2. The City hereby sets the date of November 21, 2024, as the opening of bids for Contract No. 1114. 3. The Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall meet in the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 2nd day of December 2024, to hold a public hearing to discuss the plans, specifications, and form of contract for this project. 4. During the public hearing, interested parties may express their views regarding the proposed project. by law. 5.
