RESOLUTION NO. 2024-644
A RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPLETION OF PROJECT
AND RECOMMENDATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF WORK
FOR WORK PERFORMED BY K & W ELECTRIC OF CEDAR
FALLS, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $162,450.00, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE LOGAN AVE. ASCT PROJECT,
DOT PROJECT NO. ICAAP-SWAP-8155(781)--SH-07
CONTRACT NO. 1068, AND AUTHORIZE THE RELEASE OF
RETAINAGE IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,873.50.
WHEREAS, K & W Electric, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, has completed the work associated
with the Logan Avenue Adaptive Signal Control Technology (ASCT) Project, Iowa Department
of Transportation Project No. ICAAP-SWAP-8155(781)--SH-07, Contract No. 1068, in
accordance with the contractual conditions and project specifications; and
WHEREAS, the total compensation for this project was $162,450.00; and
WHEREAS, City staff and project engineers have evaluated the work performed and
recommend the project for acceptance; and
WHEREAS, upon acceptance of the project, it is proposed to release the retainage in the
amount of $4,873.50 to K & W Electric pursuant to the original contract agreement; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. Completion of the Logan Avenue ASCT Project by K & W Electric is hereby
approved, and the work is accepted as satisfactorily completed.
2. The release of retainage in the amount of $4,873.50 to K & W Electric is authorized.
3. The Mayor is authorized to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo.
4. This resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
