RESOLUTION NO. 2011-707
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF CEDAR VALLEY
CIVIL RIGHTS PEACE WALK COMMITTEE TO HOLD
PEACE WALK EVENT ON OCTOBER 29, 2011.
WHEREAS, Cedar Valley Civil Rights Peace Walk Committee has
made written application to the City Council asking that they be
authorized and permitted to hold a Peace Walk on October 29,
2011, together with recommendation of approval of Chief of
Police, and
WHEREAS, said Peace Walk will begin at approximately 11:00
a.m., with the route starting at Lincoln Park on East 4th and
Mulberry Streets, traveling south on 4th Street and ending at the
1st Congregational Church on West 4th and South Streets.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Cedar Valley Civil Rights
Peace Walk Committee to hold a Peace Walk on October 29, 2011
beginning at approximately 11:00 a.m., with the route starting at
Lincoln Park on East 4th and Mulberry Streets, traveling south on
4th Street and ending at the l't Congregational Church on West 4th
and South Streets, be and the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of July, 2011.
