RESOLUTION NO. 2024-676
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ELECTRONIC
SUBMISSION OF THE TAX INCREMENT FINANCE (TIF)
REPORTS TO THE STATE OF IOWA FOR FISCAL YEAR
2024.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, utilizes Tax Increment Financing (TIF) as a
financial tool to support economic development and urban renewal projects; and
WHEREAS, Iowa Code Section 403.19 requires municipalities to submit TIF reports
annually to the State, detailing the status and use of TIF funds; and
WHEREAS, the State of Iowa has mandated electronic submission of TIF reports to
ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficient processing of financial data; and
WHEREAS, the Finance Department of Waterloo has prepared the necessary
documentation for the Fiscal Year 2024 TIF reports in compliance with state guidelines and
reporting requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The City Council hereby approves the electronic submission of the Tax Increment
Financing (TIF) reports for Fiscal Year 2024 to the State of Iowa.
2. The Finance Director and other appropriate City officials are authorized and directed to
execute and submit the necessary forms and documentation as required by the State for the
electronic TIF reporting process.
3. This resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
