RESOLUTION NO. 2024-681
A RESOLUTION APPROVING CERTIFICATION TO THE
BLACK HAWK COUNTY AUDITOR FOR EXPENDITURES
THAT QUALIFY FOR REIMBURSEMENT IN THE FY 2024
WATERLOO SAN MARNAN TAX INCREMENT DISTRICT
AND PLACING THE CERTIFICATION ON FILE.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, manages the Waterloo San Marnan Tax
Increment District as part of its economic development strategy; and
WHEREAS, expenditures incurred within this district may qualify for reimbursement
through allocated Tax Increment Financing (TIF) funds, pursuant to applicable Iowa Code
requirements; and
WHEREAS, the Finance Department has compiled a detailed record of expenditures
within the Waterloo San Marnan Tax Increment District for Fiscal Year 2024 to be submitted for
certification; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to certify these expenditures to the Black Hawk County
Auditor to ensure proper reimbursement and documentation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The City Council hereby approves the certification of expenditures for reimbursement
within the Waterloo San Marnan Tax Increment District for Fiscal Year 2024.
2. The Finance Director is authorized and directed to submit the certified list of expenditures
to the Black Hawk County Auditor for inclusion in the TIF reimbursement process.
3. The City Clerk is instructed to place the certification on file, ensuring it is available for
public record and auditing purposes.
4. This resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
