RESOLUTION NO. 2024-686
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AWARD OF BID TO HM
CRAGG OF EDINA, MINNESOTA, IN THE AMOUNT
OF $308,879.69, APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS,
AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FOR THE FY 2025
PREFABRICATED SHELTER AT 170 IDAHO STREET,
CONTRACT NO. 1112, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has solicited bids for the FY 2025 Prefabricated
Shelter project located at 170 Idaho Street, Contract No. 1112; and
WHEREAS, after reviewing all proposals, HM Cragg of Edina, Minnesota, submitted the
most responsive and responsible bid in the amount of $308,879.69; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to approve the contract, bonds, and certificate of insurance
associated with this project to ensure proper execution and safeguard city interests; and
WHEREAS, authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute these documents will
facilitate the timely commencement and completion of the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The bid in the amount of $308,879.69 is hereby awarded to HM Cragg of Edina,
Minnesota, for the Prefabricated Shelter at 170 Idaho Street, Contract No. 1112.
2. The contract, bonds, and certificate of insurance are approved as to form and substance,
reflecting the city's requirements for project execution.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the contract and other
necessary documents on behalf of the City for this project.
4. This resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
