RESOLUTION NO. 2024-730
A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING APPROVAL OF PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., AND
AUTHORIZING TO PROCEED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
WATERLOO FIRE RESCUE TURNOUT GEAR
REPLACEMENT PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has identified the necessity to replace the turnout gear
for the Waterloo Fire Rescue Depaitiuent to ensure the safety and effectiveness of its personnel;
and
WHEREAS, specifications, form of contract, and estimated cost for the Waterloo Fire
Rescue Turnout Gear Replacement Project have been duly prepared and presented to the City
Council; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing to discuss the project specifics was held on December 2,
2024, providing an opportunity for public comment and consideration; and
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the importance of this project in maintaining
high standards of safety and equipment for the Waterloo Fire Rescue team.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The City Council hereby confirms the approval of the specifications, form of contract,
and estimated cost for the Waterloo Fire Rescue Turnout Gear Replacement Project as presented.
2. The Fire Chief is authorized to take all necessary steps to proceed with the execution
of the project, including the solicitation of bids and execution of contracts.
3. The necessary funds for this project shall comply with the City of Waterloo's financial
and budgetary regulations.
4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage and
approval.
