RESOLUTION NO. 2024-737
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CEDAR VALLEY
SPORTSPLEX RATES FOR 2025 AS RECOMMENDED BY
THE LEISURE SERVICES COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, the Cedar Valley Sportsplex is a key recreational facility within the City of
Waterloo, offering diverse fitness and wellness opportunities for the community; and
WHEREAS, to ensure the sustainability and operational excellence of the Sportsplex, it is
essential to periodically review and update the fee structure; and
WHEREAS, the Leisure Services Commission has conducted a thorough review of
current market trends, operational costs, and community feedback to recommend a
comprehensive rate schedule for the year 2025; and
Whereas, these recommended rates aim to balance affordability for residents with the
financial needs of maintaining high -quality services and programming;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The Cedar Valley Sportsplex rates for the 2025 season, as recommended by the
Leisure Services Commission, are hereby approved. This rate schedule includes adjustments to
membership fees, day passes, program fees, and other related charges as detailed in the attached
schedule.

3. The Leisure Services Department is authorized to implement the approved rates,
incorporate them into marketing materials, and ensure clear communication to current and
prospective members.
4. The Sportsplex rates are subject to annual review and may be adjusted by the City
Council as necessary to align with operational requirements and community service goals.
5. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval by
the City Council.
