RESOLUTION NO. 2024-738 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH LEVI ARCHITECTURE FOR SERVICES RELATED TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE SOUTH HILLS GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE BUILDING AND AUTHORIZING THE PARK SUPERINTENDENT TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo recognizes the necessity for a newly constructed maintenance building at the South Hills Golf Course, sized at approximately 40x40 feet, to enhance operational capabilities; and WHEREAS, the City recognizes the need for professional architectural services to design and oversee the construction of said maintenance building; and WHEREAS, Levi Architecture has submitted a proposal in the amount of $20,800.00 for professional services related to this project, which includes the terms and scope of work required; and WHEREAS, after a thorough evaluation, it is recommended by City staff that the City enter into a Professional Services Agreement with Levi Architecture; and WHEREAS, funds are allocated for this purpose in the current fiscal year as part of the capital improvement budget designated for the South Hills Golf Course enhancements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as follows: 1. That the Professional Services Agreement with Levi Architecture in the amount of $28,000.00 for architectural services related to the construction of the South Hills Golf Course Maintenance Building, with dimensions of 40x40 feet, is hereby approved. 2. That the Park Superintendent of the City of Waterloo is authorized and directed to execute the aforementioned Professional Services Agreement on behalf of the city. 3. The Leisure Services Department is authorized to implement the approved rates, incorporate them into marketing materials, and ensure clear communication to current and prospective members. 4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval by the City Council. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of December 2024.
