RESOLUTION NO. 2024-739
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH AECOM TECHNICAL SERVICES, INC.,
OF WATERLOO, IOWA, FOR ON -CALL CONSULTING
SERVICES, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2025 - FY 2029
FAA -FUNDED AIRPORT IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is committed to the continuous improvement and
development of its municipal airport facilities to ensure safety, efficiency, and enhanced service;
and
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has allocated funds for the City's
Airport Improvement Projects covering fiscal years 2025 through 2029, necessitating expert
consulting services; and
WHEREAS, AECOM Technical Services, Inc., with its proven expertise and local presence
in Waterloo, Iowa, has proposed a Professional Services Agreement to provide necessary on -call
consulting services beneficial to these federally funded projects; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of City staff to approve this agreement due to
AECOM Technical Services, Inc.'s capacity to meet the project demands efficiently and effectively,
providing expert guidance and resources; and
WHEREAS, the necessary funds for these services are budgeted as part of the FAA Airport
Improvement Program allocation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. That the Professional Services Agreement with AECOM Technical Services, Inc., for
on -call consulting services related to the FAA -funded Airport Improvement Projects for the
fiscal years 2025 through 2029 is hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor of the City of Waterloo is hereby authorized and directed to execute
and deliver the said Professional Services Agreement with AECOM Technical Services, Inc., on
behalf of the City.
3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval by
the City Council.
