RESOLUTION NO. 2024-740
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICE
AGREEMENT WITH INVISION OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN
THE AMOUNT OF $420,000.00, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE COURIER BUILDING RENOVATIONS, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has identified a need for renovations to the Courier
Building to support community and operational purposes; and
WHEREAS, professional architectural and design services are necessary to effectively plan
and execute these renovations to meet the city's standards and goals; and
WHEREAS, Invision, located in Waterloo, Iowa, has proposed a Professional Services
Agreement to provide necessary design and planning services for these renovations at a cost not to
exceed $420,000.00; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of City staff to approve this agreement due to
Invision's capacity to meet the project demands efficiently and effectively, providing expert
guidance and resources; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. That the Professional Services Agreement with Invision for the Courier Building
Renovations, in the amount of $420,000.00, is hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said document on behalf of the
City of Waterloo, Iowa.
3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval by
the City Council.
