RESOLUTION NO. 2024-718
A RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPLETION OF PROJECT
AND RECOMMENDATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF WORK
FOR WORK PERFORMED BY PETERSON CONTRACTORS,
INC., OF REINBECK, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$121,480.83 IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE MLK WETLAND
MITIGATION PROJECT - PHASE I, CONTRACT NO. 1005,
AND RECEIVE AND FILE A TWO-YEAR MAINTENANCE
BOND.
WHEREAS, Peterson Contractors, Inc., of Reinbeck, Iowa, was contracted to perform
work associated with the MLK Wetland Mitigation Project - Phase I under Contract No. 1005;
and
WHEREAS, the project has been completed to the satisfaction of the City of Waterloo
and complies with all contractual specifications and requirements; and
WHEREAS, the total cost of the work amounts to $121,480.83, and it is appropriate to
approve the completion and acceptance of the work; and
WHEREAS, a two-year maintenance bond has been received to cover the work, ensuring
ongoing compliance with project standards.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The City Council hereby approves the completion of the work performed by Peterson
Contractors, Inc., for the MLK Wetland Mitigation Project - Phase I as outlined in Contract No.
1005.
2. The work completed by Peterson Contractors, Inc., in the amount of $121,480.83, is
accepted as satisfactory and in compliance with all project requirements.
3. The two-year maintenance bond is hereby received and filed, providing assurance of
continued adherence to project and environmental standards.
4. The City is authorized to finalize payment to Peterson Contractors, Inc., in accordance
with contract terms, acknowledging the successful completion and acceptance of the project.
