RESOLUTION NO. 2011-540
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF CEDAR VALLEY
IRISH CULTURAL ASSOCIATION TO HOLD 5K RUN/WALK
EVENT ON AUGUST 6, 2011.
WHEREAS, the Cedar Valley Irish Cultural Association has
requested that they be allowed to hold a 5K Run/Walk event on
August 6, 2011, together with the approval of the Director of
Safety Services, and
WHEREAS, said event will begin at 7:30 a.m., with the route
to start in front of CU Restaurant, 320 East 4th Street, travel
south along East 4th Street, west at Commercial Street, south at
West Park Avenue, east at Jefferson Street, south at West 4th
Street, west at Washington Street, north at West 3rd Street, east
at Cedar Street, north at Park Avenue, east at Mulberry Street,
south at East 4th Street and end at the corner of East 4th Street
and Lafayette Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the Cedar Valley Irish
Cultural Association to hold a 5K Run/Walk event on August 6,
2011 beginning at 7:30 a.m., with the route to start in front of
CU Restaurant, 320 East 4th Street, travel south along East 4th
Street, west at Commercial Street, south at West Park Avenue,
east at Jefferson Street, south at West 4th Street, west at
Washington Street, north at West 3rd Street, east at Cedar
Street, north at Park Avenue, east at Mulberry Street, south at
East 4th Street and end at the corner of East 4th Street and
Lafayette Street, be and the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of June, 2011.
