Members present: Mayor Pro Tem
Ray Feuss in the Chair. Mr. Boesen,
Mr. Nichols, Ms. Creighton -Smith, Mr.
Chiles, Mr. Simon, Ms. Wilder and Mr.
Feuss.
Agenda, as proposed or amended.

Approval of Minutes of the November
18. 2024. Council Work Session.

that the minutes of November 18,
2024, Council Work Session as pro-
posed, be approved. Voice vote -Ayes:
Seven. Motion carried.
Discussion of a Safety Action Plan.
Nick Fratzke, ]owa Northland Region-
al Council of Governments, comment-
ed briefly on their review of fatalities
and incident rates within the Waterloo
Metro Area. He then Introduced Tyler
Grau of Stanley Consultants, who de-
veloped the Cedar Wiley Community
Safety System Action Plan.
Tyler Grau, Stanley Consultants, gave
a presentation of the Cedar Valley
Community Safety System Action
Plan and discussed the plan with
council members.
Discussion of parking rates and park-
ing ordinance changes.
Bridgett Wood, Finance Director, pro-
vided an update of the proposed Park-
ing (Traffic) Ordinance changes.
Council members discussed the pro-
posed changes with Bridgett Wood
and agreed to continue discussions at
the next meeting scheduled for Janu-
ary 6, 2025.
