RESOLUTION NO. 2025-023
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SUSPENSION OF CIVIL
SERVICE HIRING PRACTICES FOR ENTRANCE POSITIONS
AS AUTHORIZED BY IOWA CODE SECTION 400.12A FOR
THE TIME PERIOD JANUARY 7, 2025, TO JANUARY 6, 2026.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA
AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the request to suspend the civil service hiring practices for entrance positions as
authorized by Iowa Code Section 400.12A for the time period January 7, 2025, to January 6,
2026, is hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents
on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of January 2025.
