RESOLUTION NO. 2025-032
A RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING
DATE OF BID OPENING AS FEBRUARY 13, 2025, AND
DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS MARCH 3, 2025, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2025 CIP PIPELINING PHASE
V, CONTRACT NO. 1118, AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK
TO PUBLISH SAID NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has developed preliminary plans, specifications, and a
form of contract for the FY 2025 CIP Pipelining Phase V, Contract No. 1118; and
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is proceeding with the FY 2025 CIP Pipelining Phase
V, Contract No. 1118; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish formal dates for both the bid opening and the
public hearing to ensure compliance with legal and procedural requirements and to facilitate
transparency and competitive bidding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The preliminary plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate of cost for the FY
2025 CIP Pipelining Phase V, Contract No. 1118, are hereby approved.
2. The City hereby sets the date of February 13, 2025, as the opening of bids for the FY
2025 CIP Pipelining Phase V, Contract No. 1118.
3. The Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall meet in the Harold E. Getty Council
Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 3rd day of March 2025, to hold a
public hearing to discuss the plans, specifications, and form of contract for this project.
4. During the public hearing, interested parties may express their views regarding the
proposed project.
5. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing as required
by law.
