RESOLUTION NO. 2025-042
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A TEMPORARY
CONSTRUCTION EASEMENT AGREEMENT WITH
GALACTIC HOLDINGS, LLC, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
SUNNYSIDE CREEK DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT, LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF
VAN MILLER WAY AND W. 4TH STREET, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is engaged in the Sunnyside Creek Drainage
Improvements Project to enhance stormwater management and mitigate flooding risks in the
area; and
WHEREAS, the project requires the acquisition of a temporary construction easement
from Galactic Holdings, LLC, at the southeast corner of Van Miller Way and W. 4th Street, to
facilitate necessary construction activities; and
WHEREAS, Galactic Holdings, LLC, has agreed to grant the requisite temporary
construction easement, underscoring their commitment to community improvement and
infrastructure development;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The Temporary Construction Easement Agreement with Galactic Holdings, LLC, for
purposes of the Sunnyside Creek Drainage Improvements Project is hereby approved.
2. Execution of construction activities under this easement shall adhere to all applicable
local, state, and federal regulations, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining high safety
standards.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
