RESOLUTION NO. 2025-045
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH AECOM TECHNICAL SERVICES IN AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $33,700.00 TO PERFORM
STRUCTURAL INSPECTION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
FOR IMPROVEMENTS AND REPAIRS TO THE WEST 5TH
STREET AND COMMERCIAL STREET PARKING RAMPS,
AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID
AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo requires professional engineering services to perform a
structural inspection of the West 5th Street and Commercial Street parking ramps and to develop
recommendations for necessary improvements and repairs; and
WHEREAS, AECOM Technical Services has the expertise and experience needed to
conduct such inspections and provide strategic guidance on infrastructure maintenance; and
WHEREAS, the proposed agreement involves a cost not to exceed $33,700.00, ensuring
that the city's interests and budgetary constraints are maintained while addressing critical
infrastructure needs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The Professional Services Agreement with AECOM Technical Services, in an amount
not to exceed $33,700.00, is hereby approved to facilitate the inspection and analysis of
structural conditions of the specified parking ramps.
2. The findings and recommendations provided by AECOM Technical Services will
guide the city in planning and implementing improvements and repairs to ensure the safety and
longevity of the parking ramps.
3. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
