RESOLUTION NO. 2025-047
A RESOLUTION APPROVING SUPPLEMENTAL
AGREEMENT NO. 2, IN THE AMOUNT OF $8,420.00, WITH
ENTRUST SOLUTIONS GROUP (MAGELLAN), OF DENVER,
COLORADO, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2023
CONSTRUCTION OF A FIBER -TO -THE -PREMISE
FEEDER/DISTRIBUTION AND BACKBONE NETWORK
PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. 1088, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has initiated the FY 2023 construction project for a
Fiber -to -the -Premise (FTTP) feeder/distribution and backbone network under Contract No. 1088
to enhance connectivity infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, Entrust Solutions Group (Magellan), of Denver, Colorado, has provided
ongoing professional services and expertise in the implementation of this advanced
communication network; and
WHEREAS, Supplemental Agreement No. 2, involving an additional amount of
$8,420.00, is necessary to address unforeseen challenges and ensure the successful completion of
the fiber network project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. Supplemental Agreement No. 2 with Entrust Solutions Group (Magellan), increasing
the contract amount by $8,420.00, is hereby approved in connection with Contract No. 1088 for
the FTTP network project.
2. Engaging in further collaboration under this agreement will ensure the necessary
adjustments and enhancements are made, maintaining project timelines and quality standards.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of January 2025.
