RESOLUTION NO. 2025-086
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A LICENSING AGREEMENT
WITH IOWA NORTHERN RAILWAY COMPANY, AN IOWA
CORPORATION, IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,500.00, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE LA PORTE ROAD
IMPROVEMENTS - PHASE 2 PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is committed to enhancing
infrastructure through the La Porte Road Improvements - Phase 2 Project, an essential
development for improved traffic flow and public safety; and
WHEREAS, the project requires a Licensing Agreement with Iowa Northern Railway
Company, for the necessary access and construction activities adjacent to railway areas; and
WHEREAS, Iowa Northern Railway Company has agreed to a Licensing Agreement in
the amount of $1,500.00 for the required permissions and compliance -related services; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and approved the Licensing Agreement with
Iowa Northern Railway Company to support the progress of the La Porte Road Improvements -
Phase 2 Project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The Licensing Agreement with Iowa Northern Railway Company, an Iowa
Corporation, in the amount of $1,500.00, is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
