RESOLUTION NO. 2025-087
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH ENTRUST, OF WARRENVILLE,
ILLINOIS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,572,216.00, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2023 CONSTRUCTION OF A
FIBER -TO -THE -PREMISE FEEDER/DISTRIBUTION AND
BACKBONE NETWORK PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. 1088,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is committed to advancing
the city's telecommunications infrastructure through the FY 2023 Construction of a Fiber -to -the -
Premise Feeder/Distribution and Backbone Network Project; and
WHEREAS, this project is vital for enhancing broadband services to residents and
businesses, bolstering the city's digital infrastructure, and supporting long-term economic
growth; and
WHEREAS, Entrust, a reputable firm located in Warrenville, Illinois, has been selected
to provide the comprehensive professional services needed, facilitating the deployment and
management of the fiber network under Contract No. 1088; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and hereby approves the Professional
Services Agreement with Entrust in the amount of $1,572,216.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The Professional Services Agreement with Entrust, of Warrenville, Illinois, in the
amount of $1,572,216.00, is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
