RESOLUTION NO. 2025-070 A RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS FEBRUARY 17, 2025, FOR THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY, LOTS 6 AND 7 OF BLOCK 16 OF DOWNING PLACE, TO EIC ENTERPRISES, LLC, IN THE AMOUNT OF $1.00, INCLUDING APPROVAL OF A DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR RELOCATION OF TWO HOMES. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo owns the property legally described as Lots 6 and 7 of Block 16 of Downing Place (the "Property"); and WHEREAS, the City proposes to sell and convey the Property to EIC Enterprises, LLC for the sum of One Dollar ($1.00); and WHEREAS, a Development Agreement is proposed in association with the Property transaction to facilitate the relocation and development of two homes; and WHEREAS, in accordance with statutory regulations, it is necessary to set a public hearing to discuss the conveyance, the terms of the Development Agreement, and to allow public input; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as follows: 1. A public hearing shall be held on the 17th day of February 2025 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Waterloo City Hall, to discuss the proposed sale and conveyance and the approval of the related Development Agreement. 2. During the public hearing, the terms of selling the Property to EIC Enterprises, LLC for $1.00 will be discussed alongside the contingencies set forth within the Development Agreement concerning the relocation and development efforts for the two homes. 3. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to publish the required notice of the public hearing as required by law. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of February 2025.
