RESOLUTION NO. 2025-072
A RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPLETION OF PROJECT
AND RECOMMENDATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF WORK
FOR WORK PERFORMED BY PRICE INDUSTRIAL
ELECTRIC, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,574,037.18, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2024 FIBER-OPTIC OUTSIDE
PLANT (OSP) CONSTRUCTION, ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION (EDA), AWARD
NUMBER 05-79-06185, CONTRACT NO. 1086, AND RECEIVE
AND FILE A TWO-YEAR MAINTENANCE BOND AND THE
EDA FINAL ACCEPTANCE REPORT.
WHEREAS, Price Industrial Electric, Inc., has completed the work associated with the
FY 2024 Fiber -Optic Outside Plant (OSP) Construction under Economic Development
Administration (EDA) Award Number 05-79-06185, Contract No. 1086; and
WHEREAS, the completed project necessitates formal acceptance of the work, and the
financial commitment totals One Million Five Hundred Seventy -Four Thousand Thirty -Seven
Dollars and Eighteen Cents ($1,574,037.18); and
WHEREAS, Price Industrial Electric, Inc., has provided a two-year maintenance bond to
assure continued quality and reliability of the project outcomes; and
WHEREAS, the EDA Final Acceptance Report has been prepared and submitted in
accordance with project requirements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The work completed by Price Industrial Electric, Inc., as specified under Contract No.
1086, FY 2024 Fiber -Optic OSP Construction, is hereby approved and accepted.
2. The project is recognized as complete, and the work performed meets the necessary
specifications and standards as outlined in the contract agreement under EDA Award Number
05-79-06185.
3. The two-year maintenance bond submitted by Price Industrial Electric, Inc., shall be
received and filed as part of this resolution to ensure the project's ongoing support and quality
assurance.
4. The EDA Final Acceptance Report is hereby received and filed, documenting
compliance with EDA requirements and verifying project completion.
5. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute the Final Acceptance Report on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
