RESOLUTION NO. 2025-077 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PROPOSED FUNDING RECOMMENDATIONS FOR A FIVE-YEAR CAPITAL FUNDS ACTION PLAN FOR FY 2024-2028, AS APPROVED BY THE HOUSING AUTHORITY BOARD FOR MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE EXISTING HOUSING COMPLEX AT RIDGEWAY TOWERS. WHEREAS, the Housing Authority Board has developed a Five -Year Capital Funds Action Plan for Fiscal Years 2024 through 2028 to address critical maintenance and improvements at the Ridgeway Towers housing complex; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the Capital Funds Action Plan is to ensure the continued safety, functionality, and aesthetic improvement of Ridgeway Towers, thereby enhancing the quality of life for its residents; and WHEREAS, the proposed funding recommendations have been reviewed and approved by the Housing Authority Board and align with the strategic objectives for housing maintenance and improvement; and WHEREAS, a public hearing is required to approve such funding plans to facilitate the appropriate allocation and utilization of resources for the proposed improvements; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as follows: 1. The City Council hereby approves the proposed funding recommendations as outlined in the Five -Year Capital Funds Action Plan for FY 2024-2028 for Ridgeway Towers. 2. The Housing Authority is authorized to proceed with the implementation of the Action Plan, utilizing the approved funds to carry out maintenance and improvement projects as specified. 3. The Housing Authority shall provide regular updates and reports to the City Council on the progress of the projects detailed in the Capital Funds Action Plan, ensuring visibility and accountability in the allocation of funds. 4. The Mayor, City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute necessary documents to implement this resolution on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
