RESOLUTION NO. 2025-078
A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING APPROVAL OF PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, AND
AUTHORIZATION TO PROCEED WITH THE FY 2023
SUNNYSIDE CREEK IMPROVEMENTS WET DETENTION
POND AND CHANNEL STABILIZATION PROJECT,
CONTRACT NO. 1062.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has developed plans, specifications, and a form of
contract for the FY 2023 Sunnyside Creek Improvements Wet Detention Pond and Channel
Stabilization Project, referred to as Contract No. 1062; and
WHEREAS, the proposed project aims to enhance flood management, improve water
quality, and ensure the effective stabilization of the channel within the Sunnyside Creek area;
and
WHEREAS, public notice regarding the consideration of these plans and specifications
was duly provided, legal requirements for public input have been satisfied; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed plans, specifications, and contract
form are in proper order and that proceeding with this project aligns with the City's strategic
infrastructure improvement goals;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The plans, specifications, and form of contract for the FY 2023 Sunnyside Creek
Improvements Wet Detention Pond and Channel Stabilization Project, Contract No. 1062, are
hereby confirmed and approved.
2. The City Council authorizes the commencement of the project as outlined, permitting
city officials and contractors to begin execution as per the approved documentation.
3. All project activities shall conform to state and local regulations, with regular updates
provided to the City Council regarding progress, challenges, and milestones achieved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of February 2025.
