RESOLUTION NO. 2025-098 A RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS MARCH 3, 2025, FOR THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1651 SYCAMORE STREET IN THE AMOUNT OF $1.00, AND TO APPROVE A DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH CRYSTAL DISTRIBUTION SERVICES, INC., WITH A MINIMUM ASSESSMENT AGREEMENT OF $659,060.00 FOR THE REHAB OF THE EXISTING BUILDING, AND CONSTRUCTION OF A 5,000 SQUARE FOOT MAINTENANCE SHOP, AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo owns property located at 1651 Sycamore Street, proposed for sale to Crystal Distribution Services, Inc. for the sum of $1.00; and WHEREAS, a Development Agreement between the City and Crystal Distribution Services, Inc. includes a Minimum Assessment Agreement valued at $659,060.00, aimed at the rehabilitation of the existing building and the construction of a new 5,000 square foot maintenance shop; and WHEREAS, a public hearing is necessary to ensure public involvement and transparency regarding the sale and conveyance of the property, along with the associated Development Agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as follows: 1. That a public hearing be set for March 3, 2025, regarding the proposed sale and conveyance of the city -owned property located at 1651 Sycamore Street and the approval of the Development Agreement with Crystal Distribution Services, Inc. 2. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish notice of said public hearing, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and facilitating public participation.
