RESOLUTION NO. 2025-100
A RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING
DATE OF BID OPENING AS MARCH 6, 2025, AND DATE OF
PUBLIC HEARING AS MARCH 17, 2025, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE FY 2025 EAST AND WEST SAN MARNAN DRIVE
RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. 1116, AND
INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has developed preliminary plans, specifications, form
of contract, and cost estimate for the FY 2025 East and West San Marnan Drive Reconstruction
Project, Contract No. 1116, with the aim of improving road infrastructure and traffic
management; and
WHEREAS, it is a legal requirement to hold a public hearing and conduct a bid opening
to ensure competitive bidding and gather public input for the project; and
WHEREAS, setting these dates and approving the associated documents is necessary to
proceed efficiently with the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. That the preliminary plans, specifications, form of contract, and cost estimate for the
FY 2025 East and West San Marnan Drive Reconstruction Project, Contract No. 1116, are
hereby approved.
2. That the bid opening date is set for March 6, 2025, allowing contractors to submit their
proposals for the project.
3. That a public hearing is scheduled for March 17, 2025, to receive public comments and
objections regarding the project.
4. That the City Clerk is authorized and directed to publish notice of both the bid opening
and the public hearing in accordance with legal provisions, ensuring transparency and public
awareness.
