RESOLUTION NO. 2025-103
A RESOLUTION APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS, BID
DOCUMENTS, FORM OF CONTRACT, AND AUTHORIZING
TO PROCEED WITH THE TERMINAL SECURITY
UPGRADES PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. 5819.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has determined the necessity to enhance the security
measures at its terminal facilities to ensure safety and compliance with federal regulations; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Terminal Security Upgrades Project, identified as Contract No.
5819, has been developed to address these security requirements with a comprehensive upgrade
plan; and
WHEREAS, the specifications, bid documents, and proposed form of contract have been
prepared and reviewed to ensure they meet the required standards and objectives of the Terminal
Security Upgrades Project; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to proceed with the bidding and contract
process to enhance terminal security measures promptly.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. That the specifications, bid documents, and form of contract for the Terminal Security
Upgrades Project, Contract No. 5819, are hereby approved and confirmed as meeting the
necessary standards and compliance requirements.
2. The Airport Director is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the Terminal
Security Upgrades Project, Contract No. 5819 as outlined in the approved bid documents.
3. That upon receipt and review of bids, the Airport Director is authorized to award the
contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, contingent upon City Council approval.
