RESOLUTION NO. 2025-107
A RESOLUTION APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS, BID
DOCUMENTS, FORM OF CONTRACT, AND AUTHORIZING
TO PROCEED WITH THE FY 2024 HAWTHORNE AVENUE
STORM SEWER LIFT STATION RELIEF WELL PROJECT,
CONTRACT NO. 1066.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo recognizes the necessity to upgrade its infrastructure to
efficiently manage stormwater, thereby initiating the FY 2024 Hawthorne Avenue Storm Sewer
Lift Station Relief Well Project, identified as Contract No. 1066; and
WHEREAS, detailed specifications, bid documents, and a form of contract have been
carefully prepared to outline the project's requirements, ensure compliance with local
regulations, and meet the city's infrastructural goals; and
WHEREAS, these documents have undergone thorough review and are deemed
satisfactory and in the city's best interest to proceed with the project bidding process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. That the specifications, bid documents, and form of contract for the FY 2024
Hawthorne Avenue Storm Sewer Lift Station Relief Well Project, Contract No. 1066, are hereby
approved and adopted.
2. The City Engineer is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the FY 2024
Hawthorne Avenue Storm Sewer Lift Station Relief Well Project, Contract No. 1066 as outlined
in the approved bid documents.
3. That upon receipt and review of bids, the City Engineer is authorized to award the
contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, contingent upon City Council approval.
