RESOLUTION NO. 2025-108
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE AND
CONVEYANCE OF CITY-OWNED PROPERTY, LOTS 6 AND
7 OF BLOCK 16 OF DOWNING PLACE, TO EIC
ENTERPRISES, LLC, IN THE AMOUNT OF $1.00, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo owns certain real property described as Lots 6 and 7 of
Block 16 of Downing Place; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City to
sell and convey this property to EIC Enterprises, LLC for the sum of$1.00 to promote
development objectives; and
WHEREAS, the purchaser, EIC Enterprises, LLC, has agreed to the terms of sale and is
prepared to assume ownership under said conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. That the sale and conveyance of Lots 6 and 7 of Block 16 of Downing Place to EIC
Enterprises, LLC, for the amount of$1.00 is hereby authorized and approved.
2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents
on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of February 2025.
