RESOLUTION NO. 2025-116
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE IOWA CERTIFIED
LOCAL GOVERNMENT 2024 ANNUAL REPORT AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND COMMUNITY
PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE
SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo participates in the Iowa Certified Local Government
Program, which requires the submission of an annual report summarizing the city's preservation
activities and accomplishments; and
WHEREAS, the 2024 Annual Report has been prepared to document the efforts and
initiatives undertaken by the city's preservation programs in alignment with program
requirements and goals; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the Annual Report, found it to accurately
reflect the City's preservation efforts during the year, and wishes to formally authorize its
submission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. That the Iowa Certified Local Government 2024 Annual Report is hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor and Community Planning and Development Director are authorized to
execute any necessary documentation to accompany the report and facilitate its submission to the
appropriate state authorities.
