RESOLUTION NO. 2025-118
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH EOCENE
ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $3,800.00, TO PERFORM A PHASE I
ENVIRONMENTAL SITE ASSESSMENT FOR 100 EAST 4TH
STREET AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo requires a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment for
the property located at 100 East 4th Street to assess potential environmental conditions and
liabilities; and
WHEREAS, Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. offers professional services specializing
in environmental site assessments and investigations; and
WHEREAS, the City has negotiated a Professional Services Agreement with Eocene
Environmental Group, Inc. to perform this assessment for an amount not to exceed $3,800.00;
and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to engage these services to ensure
compliance with environmental regulations and to support informed decision -making regarding
site conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. That the Professional Services Agreement between the City of Waterloo and Eocene
Environmental Group, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $3,800.00, is hereby approved for
conducting a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment at 100 East 4th Street.
2. That appropriate city officials are directed to ensure the completion of the assessment
in accordance with the terms of the agreement and applicable environmental standards.
2. That the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the
City of Waterloo, Iowa.
