RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING TO BE GIVEN ON APPLICATION OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO TO REZONE FROM "R-2" ONE AND
TWO FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT TO "R -1,R -P"
PLANNED RESIDENCE DISTRICT APPROXIMATELY 2.2
ACRES GENERALLY LOCATED AT THE FORMER VAN
EATON SCHOOL SITE AT 2170 BURTON AVENUE,
APPROXIMATELY 1/8 OF A MILE NORTH OF THE
INTERSECTION OF BURTON AVENUE AND WEST DONALD
STREET AS MARCH 28, 2011, AT 5:30 P.M. IN THE
COUNCIL CHAMBERS IN CITY HALL AND INSTRUCTING
CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF HEARING.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall
meet in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 28th day of March, 2011, for
the purpose of acting upon an application of the City of Waterloo
to rezone from "R-2" One and Two Family Residence District to "R -
1,R -P" Planned Residence District approximately 2.2 acres
generally located at the former Van Eaton School site at 2170
Burton Avenue, approximately 1/8 of a mile north of the
intersection of Burton Avenue and West Donald Street and legally
described as follows:
A replat of the West 1/2 of Cushman Heights, Lot 2,
Block 2, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk
County, Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
Notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.
