RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMISSION TO THE
AMERICAN LEGION POST 138 TO HOLD ANNUAL POPPY
SALE ON MAY 21-22, 2011.
WHEREAS, The American Legion Post 138 has made written
application to the City Council asking that they be authorized
and permitted to hold the annual Poppy Sale on May 21-22, 2011,
and
WHEREAS, said Poppy Sale will be held at Hy -Vee Stores
located on University Avenue, Logan Avenue, Flammang Drive
(Crossroads), and Byron Avenue; Fareway on San Marnan Drive; Wal-
Mart on Flammang Drive; K -Mart on University Avenue; and the
Farmers Market.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of The American Legion Post 138
to hold the annual Poppy Sale on May 21-22, 2011 at Hy -Vee Stores
located on University Avenue, Logan Avenue, Flammang Drive
(Crossroads), and Byron; Fareway on San Marnan Drive; Wal-Mart on
Flammang Drive; K -Mart on University Avenue; and the Farmers
Market, be and the same is hereby approved.
