RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF BJS BAR AND
BILLIARDS FOR VARIANCE TO NOISE ORDINANCE,
ORDINANCE NO. 3094.
WHEREAS, BJs Bar and Billiards is requesting a variance to
the Noise Ordinance from May 5, 2011 to August 27, 2011 from 6:00
p.m. until 10:00 p.m. in conjunction with Full Throttle Thursdays
and Weekend Live events to be held at 110 Ida Street, including a
live band and the use of a PA system, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Noise
Ordinance, Ordinance No. 3094, and
WHEREAS, said BJs Bar and Billiards made formal application
for a variance effective from May 5, 2011 to August 27, 2011 from
6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. in conjunction with Full Throttle
Thursdays and Weekend Live events to be held at 110 Ida Street,
including a live band and the use of a PA system, together with
recommendation of approval by the Director of Safety Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of BJs Bar and Billiards for a
variance to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, from May 5, 2011
to August 27, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. in conjunction
with Full Throttle Thursdays and Weekend Live events to be held at
110 Ida Street, including a live band and the use of a PA system,
be and the same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of March, 2011.
