RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF
APPLICATION TO BLACK HAWK COUNTY GAMING
ASSOCIATION FOR GRANT FUNDING AND DIRECTING
EXECUTION OF SAID APPLICATION BY MAYOR.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
that the application for grant funding in the amount of
$850,000.00, with a $850,000.00 city match, to be used to meet
FEMA requirements to raise the levee height along Virden Creek
from Highway 63 to East 4th Street/Gates Park, by and between the
Black Hawk County Gaming Association and the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, be and the same is hereby approved, and the Mayor
authorized to execute the same in behalf of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of March, 2011.
