Sealed proposals will be received by
the City Clerk or the City of Waterloo,
lows, at her office in the City Hall of
the said City on the 13th day of March,
2025 until :00 p.m. for the construc-
tion of the EY 2025 ASPHALT OVER-
LAY PROGRAM, Contract No. 1115,
as described in detail In the plans and
specifications now on file in the Office
of the City Clerk,
QPENING OF -BIDS
All proposals received will be opened
in the Harold E Getty Council Cham-
bers at City Hall, In the City of Water-
loo, iowa, on the 13th day of March
2025 at 1:00 p.m., and the proposals
Wit be acted upon at a later time and
place as may then be fixed by the City
Council The bid opening will be rives-
treamed on YouTube and made avail-
able on the city website.
PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Coun-
cil of said City will conduct a pub-
lic hearing on the proposed plans,
specifications, form of contract, and
estimate of cost for the construction
of the above -described improvement
project at 5:30 p.m. on the 17 th day
of March, 2025, said hearing to be
held In the Harald E. Getty Council
Chambers in City Hall In said City.
The proposed plans, specifications,
farm of contract, and estimate of cost
for said improvements heretofore pre-
pared by the City of Waterloo are now
on file In the office of the City Clerk
for public examination, and any per-
son Interested therein may file written
objection thereto with the City Clerk
before the date set for said hearing,
or appear and make objection thereto
with the City Clerk before the date set
for said hearing, or appear and make
obj eotion thereto at the meeting above
set forth,
SCOPE OF WORK
The extent of the work involved Is the
pavement scarification of existing as-
phalt streets or placing interlayer on
concrete streets. Placing a new hot
mix asphalt overlay on these streets
and any other work needed to com-
pOete the overlay of said streets.
