RESOLUTION NO. 2025-13 5
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO
MUNICIPAL PIPE TOOL CO., LLC OF HUDSON, IOWA IN
THE AMOUNT OF $981,486.50, APPROVING THE
CONTRACT, BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE,
IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY2025 CIP PIPELINING
PHASE V, CONTRACT NO. 1118, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, requires services for the FY2025 CIP Pipelining
Phase V, Contract No. 1118; and
WHEREAS, bids for said project were duly advertised as required by law, opened in
accordance with the relevant provisions, and evaluated for compliance with the statutory
requirements and criteria set by the City; and
WHEREAS, Municipal Pipe Tool Co., LLC, of Hudson, Iowa submitted a bid in the
amount of $981,486.50; and
WHEREAS, the bid submitted by Municipal Pipe Tool Co., LLC, has been determined to
be the lowest responsive and responsible bid; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to approve and authorize the execution of all the required
documents, including the contract, bonds, and certificate of insurance for the said project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. That the bid submitted by Municipal Pipe Tool Co., LLC of Hudson, Iowa, in the
amount of $981,486.50, is hereby approved.
2. That the contract, bonds, and certificate of insurance for the FY2025 CIP Pipelining
Phase V, Contract No. 1118, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents
on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its approval and adoption by
the City Council.
