RESOLUTION NO. 2025-136
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PURCHASE AGREEMENT
WITH KNOWBE4, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $31,414.50,
FOR THREE YEARS OF SECURITY AWARENESS AND
COMPLIANCE TRAINING SOFTWARE AND SUPPORT, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa recognizes the necessity of enhancing security
awareness and compliance across its departments to protect sensitive information and
infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, KnowBe4, Inc. has offered a comprehensive software solution for security
awareness and compliance training, along with necessary support, over a span of three years; and
WHEREAS, the total cost of the agreement amounts to $31,414.50, deemed reasonable
and necessary for the services provided; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the City to approve this purchase
agreement and ensure that consistent and reliable security training is readily available to staff;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. That the Purchase Agreement with KnowBe4, Inc. in the amount of $31,414.50, for the
provision of security awareness and compliance training software and support for a term of three
years, is hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute the Purchase Agreement on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its approval and adoption by
the City Council.
